Expatriates
What
is an expatriate? There are lots of different kinds
and we try to provide helpful information for all
of them.
Expatriates
are retired people who have gone to seek the sun,
either in a high-tax or a low-tax country, perhaps
offshore
Expatriates
are managers or employees who have been sent to
work for their companies in a foreign country
Expatriates
are economic migrants who have gone to seek their
fortune in another country ('Polish plumbers' sums
it up in Europe, at least)
Expatriates
are people who have fled cold, high-tax countries,
taking their businesses with them
They
all share one characteristic, though, which is
that they suddenly have to run their lives in an
unfamiliar country, perhaps in an unfamiliar language.
