HSBC Bank Malta PLC
has officially inaugurated a new customer sales office in Valletta.
The office develops the innovative concept of providing Wealth
Management Products to customers in a more specialised and customer
oriented environment. The office also incorporates a Shareshop
together with an ATM and a self service foreign money exchanger
in an adjacent office.
The Valletta office
was officially inaugurated by HSBC's Chairman, Mr Albert Mizzi,
in the presence of HSBC's Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tom Robson.
On behalf of HSBC, Mr Mizzi withdrew Lm50 from each cash machine
donating the proceeds to Mr Alex Caruana Soler on behalf of the
Malta Community Chest Fund.
HSBC's new office,
situated at 241/242, Republic Street, will be open everyday Monday
to Friday between 8:30am and 1:00pm and 1:30pm to 3:45pm. It is
designed to serve customers seeking a wide range of investment
and life assurance products, home loans along with share and securities
dealing facilities. Cashing facilities for customers wishing to
deposit or withdraw cash or exchange foreign currency are also
provided.
HSBC's new Shareshop
facility is designed to provide customers with a range of securities
services including buying and selling of equities, bonds and sicavs
in both local and foreign markets and safe custody services for
securities. Furthermore, the Shareshop will provide customers
with a market valuation of all foreign investment holdings on
a twice yearly basis.
"HSBC is building
on the innovative concept, successfully started at our Marsascala
office, by adding the Shareshop to the Sales office which primarily
provides wealth management and home loan products. The office
includes a full complement of experienced financial planning and
home loans officers and customer services representatives,"
said Mr Robson.
"Our new sales
office is well suited to Valletta which is a major business and
residential centre. HSBC customers now have the added convenience
of selecting from a wide range of financial services including
share and securities services all from the same sales office,"
concluded Mr Robson.
The Parish Priest
of St Domenic Church Valletta, Fr Gatt, blessed the new sales
office. Present for the inauguration were Valletta Mayor and members
of the business community.
