second place overall;
- Grant Thornton LLP leads the auditor rankings with 186 clients, but loses
its lead in the healthcare sector, with KPMG moving into first place;
- Among the lawyers, Carey Olsen and Appleby gain the most clients over the
quarter in the AIM rankings overall; however, Lawrence Graham LLP and Pinsent
Masons LLP hold onto joint first place;
- Seymour Pierce retains the top spot in the Nomads rankings with 78 clients;
- Threadneedle Communications Ltd scores the largest quarterly AIM client
gain among the financial PRs after delivering eight additional clients. Financial
Dynamic holds first place in the overall AIM rankings, but loses three clients;
- Capita Registrars suffers a 14-client loss in the quarter, but still tops
the overall AIM registrar rankings. Sanne Trust Company enters the registrar
rankings for the first time and lands in 13th place with two clients.
Hemscott provides client rankings for auditors, law firms, financial public
relations (PR) companies, nominated advisers (Nomads), registrars, and stockbrokers
by their total number of AIM clients and for the 10 main FTSE Industry Sectors,
as well as the FTSE AIM 100 and FTSE AIM UK 50. Advisers are also ranked in
all tables according to their clients’ market capitalisation.
The Hemscott AIM Advisers Rankings Guide is published four times a year. The
first-quarter update summarised here is based on data through 10th January 2011.
For ranking scores in relation to the tables, a single point is awarded to reflect
a confirmed client relationship, regardless of whether it is a sole or joint
appointment.
